Beautiful Weekend

The kids were playing in "the jungle" in our back yard. It is a giant plant that almost looks like rhubarb...unfortunately, I think it is just a weed, but we haven't found anything better to replace it with yet. Glad the kids can have fun in it without me nagging them to get out. This is the one time I will say yeah for a weed!
After a week of pouring rain and cold weather (for CA) we were thrilled to have sunshine for the weekend. We even got our flowers in the front planted and a garden box of spring veggies in the dirt...Preston was a great help. Sylvia just hid my tools:)
Mommy was in the baking mood on Friday since it was too rainy for the park, so we made our own "Auntie Anne's" soft pretzels. They were awesome just out of the oven, and still good the next day for a snack on the front porch. The cinnamon sugar ones are always my favorite!
Doesn't it look like they are having such a great time outside? Sylvia even had mud on her cheeks but didn't seem to notice. What would it be like to be a kid again?!
