We took our car in for a trip check before Cordell drives to OR this weekend and there were quite a few small things that needed to be replaced. We walked to the Civic Center nearby where there were fountains, grass, trees, stairs...oh, and a bathroom. The kids were so awesome waiting and had such a fun time playing in the fountains ( I was grateful the fountains were there!).We were there from 11AM until 5 PM at which time I had run out of snacks and the kids were hungry, AGAIN. So, we walked to the disgusting KFC on the corner for their dinner. The kids were thrilled. We waited a little longer and the car was "ready" at 6...until the mechanic accidentally backed it into his sisters car and caused minor rear damage. So...we paid for parts and they paid for a day and a half of labor (we went in the next day for alignment/break light issues) and we have a lovely little dented and scratched rear corner. Saved us a few hundred anyway...maybe a blessing in disguise.
Since we live so far away from our family, we thought this would be a fun way to help you feel up to date with all that is happening with our little family here in Oregon. Hope it works!
