Week in Durango...

Ethan trying to attack his second cousin. Same age, but Ethan better learn to crawl if he wants to keep up.
Sylvia must have been exhausted after the little family reunion/luncheon. Thanks to Aunt Carol, she had a comfy bed to take a nap in. It was so great to see all the Caylor cousins and their kids. I wish we all lived closer.
Durango Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad: This is 3 1/2 hours up a beautiful mountain pass. Too bad we had rain and cold weather at the top. Preston enjoyed this cool train the most.
Unfortunately Ethan had a fever and felt lousy for the whole 7 hours on the train. Poor little guy. This happened last time we traveled...maybe it is the altitude change or something. People on the train were kind thankfully and Ethan tried to sleep between crying bouts. Otherwise, this was a beautiful ride.
Here are the kids in the open air Gondola. This train has a coal burning engine so by the time we got to the top of the mountain, we were all covered in little bits of black ash. Preston stood against the edge peering out of the side almost the whole 7 hours up and back just taking it all in.
Bubbles from the fun jets in our condo bath tub.
Placing flours on family head stones. I think this was a neat experience for the kids to see a cemetery and learn what they are for. It was really great to learn of these peoples life stories from grandma Smith. Thanks grandma for taking the time to bring us and teach us about the people buried here.
