Sylvia's Birthday Events

Our sweet (and sour) Sylvia turned 3 this week. We can't believe it! She has grown so much ans wants to do everything by herself. She loves to pester her brothers and doesn't know her own strength when doing so, so we often get crying boys if she is in one of her crazy moods! She can be super sweet and loves to be snuggled. She always wants to know what you're doing or what you're eating and has a big sweet tooth. Her favorite foods are fruit, fruit, and more fruit, dairy and candy on the side. She is not a big meal eater but is always ready for a snack...go figure. She has always been in the high 90th percentile for weight and height and when she and Preston are together we often get the question "are they twins?" They are 2.5 years apart! We love our Sylvia and are so grateful she is a part of our family. She sure has a zest for life, the outdoors and keeps us on our toes.
Here is our new-old van. I finally got a picture after we had it washed and waxed. We are grateful to our friends for setting us up with a good deal. The kids are thrilled that this car has a RADIO! Wow...we're really high tech now!
Ethan was such a good sport during our morning birthday party. He missed his nap, but was happy to be playing outside...thanks to grandpa for preventing too many dirt clods from entering his mouth.
Elmo and Cookie Monster cupcakes. We celebrated with her 2nd cousin Bryce who was born the exact same day so I thought these would be fun for them. I'm not the greatest at cake decorating...okay, so I stink at it, but these turned out pretty cute. The kids had fun eating the marshmallow eyes and frosting and leaving the cake part.
Look at these cute Utah fans! This day also turned out to be the Ute game against San Jose State so we had a wonderful celebration with grandpa and Uncle Rex and family joining us for the festivities. We had such a wonderful weekend with our family visitors and were sad to see them leave.
Grandpa Smith outfitted the kids in these cute t-shirts for the game. He thought this was the best. I wish we had a better picture, but I guess these will have to do.
Ethan looks happy to be a Ute fan with grandpa...we'll let it slide for the occasion. His next shirt needs to be blue!
Sylvia carried around this birthday bear and pony in a bag all day long. She has a great love for stuffed animals and always wants more. I'm afraid our basket is overflowing. Thanks grandma Smith and Sally, she loves them.
Who knew a 3 year old would get so excited for a sleeping bag!! As soon as she opened the box she was so excited to have her very own. She even crawled right in it and slept under it for nap time. I'm glad she liked our practical gift. It made me feel better about being so boring.
