Since we live so far away from our family, we thought this would be a fun way to help you feel up to date with all that is happening with our little family here in Oregon. Hope it works!

Happy Independance Day!
Thanks to our ward family, we had some fun 4th of July celebrations. We went to an afternoon picnic/bbq at a nearby park where the kids got to play some fun games and see their friends. In the evening dad was able to join us for a fun dinner with some friends and we got to enjoy the city fireworks from the comfort of their back yard. It was great to have free food, no crowds, good company, Ethan to sleep at a reasonable hour in a warm place, and a house for Preston to retreat to when he decided the fireworks were too scary. We have a great ward! We were missing our families and thinking of the fun celebrations we have had, but we still had a good day and hope you did too. I feel so blessed to live in this free country to worship in peace and have so many freedoms. Thanks to the founding fathers for looking to God for inspiration in setting up this wonderful nation!
Preston playing egg toss with his friend. They kept dropping their egg, but it never broke. Preston just had to leave the game when the girl next to him had her egg break all over his shoulder. He wasn't too happy, but mom took off his shirt, gave it a good rinse in the bathroom sink and he was happy to have a wet shirt to keep him cool.
This is a young girl in our ward who always wants to hold Ethan...I think he may weigh as much as her, but how can I say no all the time. She thinks he is so great.
This is the best picture I could get of Sylvia. Thanks to Sally for the patriotic barrettes.
My cute Beehives came over to see Ethan. I love that they are good friends and such awesome girls to work with. Nice to know of good babysitters as well. Ethan loves the attention!
